Shoppe Object continues its BLM initiative with new collaboration

NEW YORK –  Shoppe Object has teamed up with The Folklore, a commerce platform highlighting emerging brands, as an ongoing part of its Black Lives Matter Action Initiative. Ten brands offering textiles, jewelry, home fragrances and other categories will be exhibiting at The Folklore booth Feb. 2-4 at the show, which will be in its new location at the Starrett-Lehigh Building on 11th Avenue.

“BLMAI is all about fostering a more representative home and gift market by sponsoring talented Black designers and business owners each season,” said Jesse James, founder and show director of Shoppe Object.

“When it comes to the home and gift market, Shoppe Object always tops the list for our brand members, so the synergy was already there,” said Amira Rasool, Founder and CEO of The Folklore. “Trade shows are still the heart of wholesale trade, and we’re happy to partner with them to continue creating space for Black designers to benefit from all the good that comes from participating in physical selling.”
