TIMNATH, Colo. – With the goal of offering independent retailers “immediate access to big-company resources at small-company prices,” Crystal Vilkaitis, founder of Evolve and Rooted in Retail, has launched IndERA: The Independent Retailers Association.
The members-only business group offers independent retailers plug-and-play content ideas, digital tools, networking opportunities, and a “complete revenue-generating system.”
“We didn’t build another association,” said Vilkaitis, founder. “We reimagined what’s possible when independent retailers stand together. We’re here to help retailers adapt faster, connect deeper, and stay strong no matter what challenges come their way – tariffs, tech changes, competition, you name it.”
Unveiled April 4 during the Rooted in Retail’s Evolve Conference, the online platform promises several benefits to its members, including:
-
Effective tools: The AI platform works intuitively, doing in seconds what takes independent operators hours. One simple interface connects a store instantly across 60+ digital platforms where customers already search.
-
Meaningful relationships: Not superficial networking, but a true community of visionaries who understand the importance of independent retail in America’s landscape.
-
Transformative insights: Monthly marketing assets that are precision-crafted for maximum impact. The knowledge gives independents an unfair advantage against corporate sameness.
Co-leader Dustin Peyser explains the vision: “This isn’t about building something for retailers, it’s about building it with them.”
“We’re bringing together retailers and allied partners who believe in the power of collaboration and innovation,” Peyser said. “The strongest solutions come when people roll up their sleeves and create together.”
