The new and is here, and while three destinations were added to the guide’s scope, not all of them felt the love when it comes to stars.

Most notably, a new two-star restaurant was added in Orlando, a city previously assessed by ’s anonymous inspectors. , a Japanese restaurant helmed by William Shen, was praised for its tasting menu spotlighting Japan’s 72 micro-seasons. The establishment is open for just one seating a few nights a week, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be any easier to grab a spot now.

In total, Florida now has 31 Michelin-starred restaurants. And impressively, no restaurants were downgraded from ; every restaurant that received a Michelin star last year kept its star this year. Typically, Michelin Guides will see a handful of spots lose their status from year to year, so the Sunshine State should be pleased with that outcome.

That list is also likely to grow even further next year, as the Michelin Guide expands it reach to cover the entirety of Florida. The guide debuted in the state just a few years ago, in 2022, with Florida’s tourism board for Michelin to look at restaurants in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando. In 2026, no part of the state will have to feel left out any longer.
