Color, color, color! Word on the street is colored stones are becoming increasingly important to serious collectors and the high houses in Paris certainly delivered this season. The result was a much needed dose of vibrancy. Van Cleef & Arpels flexed its stone-setting skills in its Traversée Mystérieuse bracelet which came decked in rich sapphires accented with diamond edges, while rubies dripped all over Louis Vuitton’s opulent Splendeur collar necklace. Meanwhile, chose the rainbow. The house mixed a multitude of collars from green peridots, blue tanzanite to soft pink morganite and more. All featured seriously collectible stones. While some came in intricate settings, others let the stones speak for themselves. Either way it placed an emphasis on the fact that collectors are leaning toward gems that are rich in color and significance.
