DALLAS — A group of lighting industry veterans will launch a new lighting brand at the Lightovation show here in January.
The company, called Alteck, will address the better/best segment of the market and target lighting showrooms, designers and architects with pendants, sconces, lanterns and flush mounts made from a range of interesting materials, all with integrated LED.
“Design is the essence of Alteck’s mission, where innovation and technology merge with craftsmanship and beauty,” said Colleen Visage, a former Progress Lighting executive who is Alteck’s chief operating officer. Designer Robert De’Armond is CEO.
Alteck is introducing roughly 200 SKUs of wet-location listed exterior lighting in its Lightovation debut and will incrementally add more products, including interior options, as the company grows, Visage told Home Accents Today.
“We really wanted to target this area and come out with a full line fully available. We felt it was a strength,” she said of the new outdoor collections.
The company is based in Austin, Texas, and has two U.S. warehouses. It is stocking and warehousing product and has hired a rep firm, Visage said.
Alteck’s showroom will be located at TM 3383.
