Numarine’s new flagship has the Mediterranean on its mind.
Inspired by the beach-club lifestyle of Med superyachts, the Turkish builder just unveiled the 153-foot 47MXP. Of course, the vessel isn’t limited to exploring the Mediterranean: The superyacht is designed for long-range cruising in comfort, thanks to its steel hull and aluminum superstructure.
In fact, the 47MXP is equipped with the same hull (and about 30-foot beam) as Numarine’s 45XP model. The shipyard upped the ante on this iteration, though, by extending the overall length of its new superyacht. With that extra elbow room, Numarine was able to revamp the aft and beach club area. The new layout offers up balconies, a lounge area speckled with warm neutral and brown hues, and a pool overlooking the sea—much like your favorite French Riviera resort. Across its other three decks, you’ll find another pool in the bow, an upper deck prepped for tender and toy storage, and a spacious sundeck with a bar and more relaxation spots.
The pool perched on the 47MXP’s bow.
Those warm colors from the exterior make their way inside, too, adding a luxe feel to the main salon, with space to dine and lounge as you please. And the main-deck owner’s cabin opens onto its own private terrace. Hot Lab, an Italian design studio, crafted the modern interior for the 47MXP.
With a gross tonnage of 498 GT, the new flagship will cruise the seas powered by twin MAN 1,450 hp engines. The duo gives the superyacht a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, along with a maximum range of 6,000 at nine knots.
The 47MXP isn’t the only vessel joining the Numarine fleet as of late. The 30XP hit the seas last October; the 101-foot hybrid explorer yacht takes its design cues from a littler further north, though, showing off the simplicity and minimalism that goes hand in hand with Scandinavian design. Numarine also delivered three new superyachts at once last spring, sending a 37XP and two 85-foot 26XPs out onto the high seas. Soon enough, we bet we’ll be seeing a flurry of 47MXPs, too.
