Donald Trump was inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States on Monday in Washington DC, and to mark the occasion, a lab-created diamond manufacturer has unveiled an unusual stone.

Greenlab Diamonds, based in India’s diamond centre, Surat, has showcased a 4.7-carat lab-created diamond that resembles the new President.

The diamond took three months to grow using the chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process and was cut and polished to resemble Trump’s side-on profile. Smit Patel, a Greenlab Diamonds director, said it was a diamond that represented the relationship between the two countries.

“This 4.7-carat masterpiece is a symbol of appreciation for leadership and our deep connection with the US market,” he said.

Greenlab Diamonds previously created a 7.5-carat lab-created diamond that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted to former First Lady Jill Biden during a US visit to India. The company also made the Pride of India stone, a 30.18-carat diamond.
