With the arrival of Beechcraft’s V-tail Bonanza, the general aviation market changed significantly. Suddenly there was an airplane available that allowed business people and families to travel long distances much faster than they could in other light aircraft of the period.
Today the early V-tails’ performance remains impressive and offers buyers a lot of speed and carrying capacity, often at an economical price. The aircraft for sale today can be an ideal vehicle for buyers interested in speedy travel and, perhaps, seeking to capture some of the glamor associated with general aviation during the 1950s and ’60s.
This 1959 K35 Bonanza has 1,360 hours on the airframe, 371 hours since overhaul on its 250 hp Continental IO-470 engine, and 93 hours since overhaul on its original Beechcraft propeller. The aircraft is equipped with millennium engine cylinders, GAMI fuel injectors, BAS shoulder harnesses, and LED exterior lighting. It carries 70 gallons of fuel and has a useful load of 963 pounds.
The VFR panel includes a Narco CP 136 audio panel, ICOM IC-A200 com radio, King KN 53 nav, and Stratus ESG transponder with ADS-B out.
