The Beechcraft Bonanza shook up the general aviation community when it arrived in 1947. In a world of fabric-covered taildraggers with high, strutted wings, bracing wire on their tails and seats for two, the low-wing, all-metal Bonanza looked more like the Air Force’s latest fighter than a family transporter. At that roughly mid-century point on the timeline, aviation was changing rapidly.
The rate of change has slowed considerably since then, though, such that the Bonanza still looks fresh. The panel includes a Garmin GTN 750 GPS/nav/com, GDU 620 display with G500 PFD and MFD, a GDL 88 ADS-B in and out transponder with data link, S-tec ST-186 autopilot, Garmin GMA 340 audio panel, Garmin SL 40 VHF com radio and a JPI 850 engine monitor.
The aircraft has dual controls, a leather interior installed in 2013 and exterior paint applied in 2014.
