A woman was “shocked” after seeing her date’s “disgusting” bathroom.
She chronicled her unfavorable date night experience at his house on the U.K.-based forum Mumsnet, where she’s dissecting her reaction to the dirty lavatory and deciding whether she should go on another date with him.
“I’ve been seeing this guy for a month, he seemed pretty sorted, good job, intelligent, etc. BUT I went round to his house last night for the first time and I was shocked at the state of his bathroom,” she wrote.
“He knew I was coming round a few days in advance so he easily could have cleaned it,” she explained. “I don’t want to go into detail as it’s disgusting, but hair all over the floor, and the toilet was awful.”

Admittedly turned off, she exclaimed, “[What the actual f—?]”
“I feel a bit sick thinking about it, and I didn’t even want to go in there to use the toilet,” she added. “How could he go into his bathroom and think it was okay to let a potential date go into that? Wasn’t he embarrassed?”
“Obviously not!” she answered. “He wants to meet again but it’s kind of put me off and I definitely would dread using that bathroom again.”

Wondering if she overreacted, the woman posed a question to fellow Mumsnet users, “Would this put anyone else off?”
“Absolutely,” one reader replied. “You don’t expect to have to train an adult man about keeping their bathroom clean. One month in so it’s not a serious relationship yet — I’d dump him. But if he asks why I’d be honest.”
Another user commented, “Yuck! I’m utterly revolted, not merely put off.”
In response to the comments, the woman who went on the date chimed in, “The weird thing is he went to the trouble of cooking dinner and looks nice and presentable and hygienic yet his bathroom is like that!”
