Woman Is ‘So Confused’ After Her Boyfriend of 2 Years Stormed Off and Blocked Her Following a ‘Minor Disagreement’

A girlfriend is baffled after her boyfriend stormed off after a “minor disagreement,” never came home and blocked her from contacting him.

The woman laid out the situation and expressed her confusion on the community forum Mumsnet, where she also noted that her son is “really upset” about the boyfriend’s abrupt vanishing act. 

“Hi all, just need a hand hold or some advice really,” she wrote. “I’ve been with my partner for 2 years. In general, it’s been good. However, whenever we have a disagreement, his reactions are always way over the top.”

After a recent argument, he disappeared and went into no-contact mode.

“For context, he doesn’t come from my area and moved here a year or so ago, so has nowhere to stay,” she explained. “All his stuff is here, including passport and driver’s license. He quite regularly storms off … but not to this level. We have joint bills, and now I have no way of contacting him.”

Many Mumsnet users reassured her that the boyfriend’s behavior is not normal, telling her to end things with him to focus on her son.

“Why are you letting this around your child? Just pack his stuff up tell him to collect it and put your child first,” one person commented.

Another reader replied, “He’s causing a big drama and also making you and your son feel emotionally unstable. It’s embarrassing for a grown man to behave like this. It’s all very attention seeking and he needs to grow up.”
